Water filter reminder — filter is due for replacement.
What WF means.
WF is the water-filter reminder. GE tracks filter age based on calendar time (typically 6 months) or estimated water flow through the filter. WF lights up at the end of that period as a reminder to replace it. WF is not a fault — the fridge will still cool and dispense water — but the filter is no longer rated to remove the contaminants it was designed for. Some models will reduce dispenser flow rate when WF stays on too long.
