True Manufacturing equipment lives in restaurants, grocery, c-stores, and back-of-house storage across Orange County. The chassis is built for commercial duty, but a fully loaded GDM glass-door merchandiser running ten hours of door-cycling per shift stresses the condenser fan, the door gasket, and the evaporator coil in predictable ways. Newer units run R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant, which changes how we handle sealed-system work and what gauges go on the unit. We see the same failure patterns repeatedly, which is why our truck stock is built around them.

Common True issues we see

• Condenser-fan motor failures from kitchen grease. Airborne grease coats the fan blade and motor housing, the bearing seizes, the compressor runs but heat is not shedding, and the cabinet warms over a single shift.
• Evaporator-fan motor wear on TUC undercounter units. The unit sits warm even though the compressor runs, because no air is moving across the cold coil into the cabinet.
• Hot pull-down failures on fully loaded reach-ins. Walk-in deliveries get stocked into a TS or TWT cabinet at room temperature, the unit cannot pull setpoint within spec, and the controller alarms.
• Electronic temperature-control board drift. Cabinet runs five to eight degrees off setpoint, defrost cycles trigger at the wrong time, and the display reads a different number than the actual cabinet air.
• Door gasket fatigue on TPP prep tables. Constant lid-cycling during service shifts cracks the gasket profile, the seal lifts, and the compressor runs nearly continuously.
• Defrost-cycle hangs on three-door GDM glass merchandisers. The defrost terminator fails, the heater stays on too long, and the lower shelves get warm before recovery.

Service expectations for commercial accounts

Restaurants and grocery accounts get same- or next-day priority when the call comes in during 8am to 7pm, seven days a week. We provide a written quote before parts are ordered, because commercial repairs often involve approval from a manager or owner who is not on-site. Parts and labor carry a 3-month warranty, with 6 to 12 months on compressor and sealed-system work. Commercial duty cycles stress equipment harder than residential, and we will tell you up front when a repair is buying time on a chassis that is near end-of-life. Emergency calls outside our 8am-7pm window are by arrangement.
