What Er CF means.

Er CF flags a problem with the condenser fan motor. The fan sits behind the bottom-rear access panel and pulls room air across the condenser coil to reject heat from the refrigerant. When Er CF logs, the controller saw that the fan either failed to start, runs too slow, or shows no feedback signal for at least 65 seconds during a cooling cycle. Without condenser airflow the compressor overheats and the entire cooling system shuts down to protect itself.

  3. Spin the fan blade by hand — should rotate freely with no grinding.
