Maytag Refrigerator Error Code F1
On older Maytag firmware: same fault as E1 (temperature sensor).
What F1 means.
F1 on older Maytag refrigerators is the original code for "main temperature sensor fault" — what newer firmware calls E1. On certain control-board firmware F1-E1 specifically means "EEPROM checksum error," which is a memory-chip fault on the main board itself. The fix differs between the two: a sensor swap for the first, a board replacement for the second. A tech reads the model and firmware before quoting either.
